This blog is a record of my efforts to get fit and prepare for LEL 2025. I hope you find it helpful.
About me:
Hello, I’m Chuffy. Another chubby middle-aged bloke who rides bikes. I’ve been riding long distance for over 20 years, but my fitness, fatness and enthusiasm wax and wane, so my forays into the really long stuff have been sporadic. I did an SR series in 2012, LEL in 2013 and the Mersey Roads 24hr TT in 2014. In 2022 I lost shedloads of flab and got back on the bike properly, but life got in the way. This year I’m back on it and determined to make a decent stab at LEL, another SR series and the Mersey Roads in 2026. Reasonable goals for a mediocre athlete!
